On the occipital aspect of the scalp, there is a 6 x 4-1/2 inch laceration running from mid to left side of scalp. Additionally, an adjacent right superior parietal scalp laceration has also been observed.

A section of the cervical spine can be seen in an exposed neck area. Multiple fractures can be seen in both hyoid bone and thyroid cartilage.

A large laceration involving the anterior neck, upward chest, and left shoulder area is discovered during skin examination.

Through this defect, the chest cavity can be seen. A 1-1/2 x 1-inch laceration to the right lateral lower chest is evident.

The skin has been torn beneath and anterior to the pubic region and extends circumferentially toward the back just above the buttocks.

Fractures can be seen in both clavicles, the entire rib cage, the pelvis and lumbar/sacral spine.

The left arm is attached and bears multiple humerus, radius and ulna fractures as well as lacerations on its axillary region and mid-upper arm.

An examination of the hand reveals laceration to both palmer and dorsal aspects, with the fourth fingernail having become avulsed.

The right arm has been traumatically amputated; its forearm submitted separately for examination as well.

On the dorsal aspect, a compound (open) fracture of the radius can be seen. On close examination, you can observe ragged skin and exposed muscle as well as fragments of both radius and ulna. Skin slippage has also been observed on this same dorsal surface of the right hand.
