Duane Martin was born in August 1965 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a college basketball player at New York University. In 1989, he was undrafted and signed as a free agent to the National Basketball Association’s New York Knicks. He was cut, but he did not play in the NBA.

Tisha Campbell attempted to stop her husband from getting any proceeds from the Chatsworth property sale. Tisha argued against Duane’s debt and forced him to sell his family home.
