After the news about Wilson and Meem’s divorce, Rumors circulated about possible causes. One popular theory is that Meem allegedly cheated on her husband by involving his former teammate Golden Tate. An additional Former Seahawk, Percy Harvin, has been reported to have struck Tate during the week leading up to the 2014 Super Bowl over the matter.
Tate responded to the allegations in a lengthy piece published in The Cauldron. Tate wrote:
